I have 2 uncles that served on the Hollister together back in the late 50's. One a BT the other HT. Russell and Gilbert Fowler. Doe's anyone here remember them. Thanks.

Served aboard during 1978-1979 as part of the reserve component while they were based in Long Beach. I was an OS2 at the time and spent of my time in combat.

Joined the ship at Christmas 1967 in Yokosuka - did gunline tour - then to Long Beach via Guam, Manus, Brisbane Qld Australia, Wellington NZ, PagpPago American Samoa, Pearl Harabor ending in Long Beach- nice t rip at 20 knots
