Comments: was aboard the Hollister in 1947 and 1948 and had a rating of BT 2/c and was stationed in the after fireroom. We did patrol duty off the coast of Japan in 1947. Would like to hear from anyone stationed aboard at that time.

Comments: My dad served on the Hollister in 1951 and 1952 before going to the New Jersey. He was from Talladega, Alabama. Deceased in 1998.

Comments: Served on Hollister from late 1970 to mid 1977. A lot of good times, a lot of great men. Retired in 2000 as an MMCM(SW) and CMC (4 Tours). The good, the bad, and the ugly. If we could only do it again!!

Comments: I served during Vietnam 69-73 my uncle Irvin Holt served during the Korean war...on the Hollister also. I am proud to have served. I was a mere Electricians Mate, low on the totem pole, but I treasure every memory..
