Comments: The Hollister was my first duty station right after "A" School. I was on board from 1969 to 1972. Came on as a BTFN and made BT2 before leaving. I was in the Aft Fireroom and was Oil King for about my last year aboard. Great ship and a great bunch of guys!

I have started a Group Facebook page for the Hollister that's open to all of you and would like for you to contribute with pictures and stories or if you wish just to browse through and enjoy. I know that all of you have something to contribute and I would love to have it on the site. It's free and a great place to meet up with old friends. I treasure my time onboard and still talk with many friends that I made while there. Fair Winds & Calm Seas to you all.
